About Us
Brisbane Rainforest Action and Information Network (BRAIN) is a Brisbane City Council sponsored bushcare group. The focus of the group is the regeneration and rehabilitation of rainforest in sites around Brisbane.
BRAIN is also active in developing and sharing information with like-minded groups.
Activities have included rainforest gardening workshops plus rainforest bush tucker (so popular we repeated it), trips to Green Island, Smith's Scrub, Enoggera Scientific Reserve, Enoggera Reservoir, Lloyd Bird's garden, seed collecting at various locations, seed collection workshop, plant swaps etc.
Focus of Activities
Weeding out exotic invasive plant species;
Replanting with local rainforest species;
Maintenance of regenerating areas;
Seed collection and propagation;
Species identification; and
Community education.
