Environmental Defender's Office New South Wales (Ltd)
History
The Environmental Defender's Office is a not-for-profit community legal centre specializing in public interest environmental law. The Environmental Defender's Office was founded in May 1985 with a single lawyer working from a spare table in the offices of solicitor Bruce Woolf. The company's objects were "to provide legal assistance and undertake research regarding the conservation of the built or natural environment and to promote community education programmes in matters relating to environmental law."
