History

The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife was incorporated on 29 June 1970. They were established as a company limited by guarantee ACN 000 744 516 regulated by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission to protect consumers, investors and creditors.

 

Focus of Activities

Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife has grants available for (1) private land conservation, (2) scientific research and (3) community groups. Three other groups are working with Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife. Together these Private Land Conservation Grants are a teamwork challenge met by uniting their efforts with the Paddy Pallin Foundation, the Wildlife Land Trust and the Conservation Partners program of the NSW Department of Environment and Climate Change.

Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife purchases land for conservation, funds threatened species recovery actions and is actively involved with numerous communities in the conservation of Australia's natural and cultural heritage.

 

 

Notable Achievements

The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife is backing an innovative program that uses the element of sound as a means to defend susceptible fauna along the NSW coast. Scientists from the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife are using automated electronic acoustic monitoring devices (AEAMD) to record the exquisite calls of rare species of ecological life at Barren Grounds, Budderoo, Jervis Bay and Nadgee.

Volunteer super-heroes make up the people who have turned grants into places of ecological conservancy. The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife is a national not-for-profit organization to grow appreciation of and raise funds for the benefit of the natural and cultural environment and heritage of Australia under Constitution. The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife holds an authority to fundraise for charitable purposes with the department of gaming and racing, Australian taxation office for goods and services tax, deductible gift recipient , income tax exempt charitable entity and exempted by the office of state revenue from pay-roll tax. They are registered office of the Gondwana program and a community-based volunteer program for conservation of national parks and wildlife
