Environment

When we refer to "the environment" we usually mean the natural environment, which consists of all things living and non-living that naturally occur on Earth. In contrast, the "built environment" refers to areas that have been heavily influenced by man, such as cities and towns.

The environment includes eco-systems such as tropical rainforests and deserts as well as the baser elements of the planet, such as earth, water, and air. Though the environment has a huge impact on the lives of human beings, we are able to shape the environment around us with our growing technology as well.
