Natural Products

In the broad sense a natural product is any chemical compound found in nature or produced by a living organism. This would mean that any man-made compounds are not natural. Usually the label of "natural product" is placed on any product using natural chemicals or that is considered "green".

Unlike the term "organic" there is no set of criteria restricting the use of the term, so read the list of ingredients on any product claiming that it is natural before accepting the label at face value. Often the term is used as a marketing tactic to sell more product to green minded people.
