Shiprock Goes Solar: Jóhonaá éi Solar Project Installed at Diné College
Honor the Earth and the Navajo Nation's Diné College (DC) lead the way to a cleaner energy future with the recently installed Jóhonaá éi Solar Project. The nearly 20kW solar array sits atop DC's Shiprock South Campus and uses the sun's energy to power the classrooms below. The late October installation was followed by a celebration and training on November 19th. Keith Secola provided musical entertainment, and the training was attended by more than 60 students and community members in-person and more students via virtual classrooms on other DC campuses.
