About Me

Before an automobile accident changed her life, Shari was an award-winning journalist & photographer. Her work included photograher/reporter for the Portsmouth Daily Times and Community Common newspapers. She's also performed as freelance photographer for the Ft. Wayne, Indiana, newspaper group and the Cleveland Plain Dealer; and others.

After an auto accident left her unable to resume her photography career, she taught herself computers and began working as a freelance web design/maintenance professional. Some of her clients included the City of Portsmouth (OH), the county government of Scioto County (OH), Jon’s Photos, Gerlach and Gerlach, Attorneys-at-law, Gerlach for mayor, Leading Lady, Jon’s Photos, Scioto Water and several other sites. One of her most known sites was Planet Jendell – a fan site dedicated to Ace Frehley of Kiss. It was the only Ace-related site accepted by the official Kiss website which also had a link to Planet Jendell.

Shari is now disable due to Reflex Sympathic Distrophy 1/ Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS).  

Unable to return to a traditional job, Shari is now a freelance writer on the Internet. She hopes to one day obtain freelance employment in an activism field.

Our study shows that the domains pain and activity in daily living are properly represented in the German versions of the Walking Stairs, Walking Ability and Raising and Sitting Questionnaires.
